Hi
one of hydrengia leave can make "ama cha" sweet tea. "ama" means sweet in Japanese, "cha" means tea. dried hyderngia leave it self makes sweet tea. You don't have to add suger to make it sweet.
I am on the way to Japan today. after retuned from Japan I can give you botanical name of amacha hydengia if you are intrested.

I will be new New Englander soon. Iam moving from Gerogia to northshore of Mass. Time to time I offer Japanese gardening class. Japanese gardening technic can be use in New England or any part of states or any style of gardens.

Some day I can meet with you.
