We were all new to gardening once.
This garden is just 4 years old.
Everything you see here must take full sun and lots of wind.
Maybe it will give you some ideas...

That was a nice use of the circular stepping stones to subtly emphasize the curves... although my favorite photo was that of the sleeping lions. :)
