Help! Rabbits are eating my plants!

How do I keep my friendly neighborhood rabbits from eating all my plants? They seem to specifically (at least for the moment) go for my petunias. I just planted them 4 days ago and every morning for the last 3 mornings when I get up and go out there, they've munched on my petunias for breakfast and left my petunia flowerheads behind on the ground as evidence. I've almost no blooms left! Does anyone have any suggestions aside from building a "rabbit fence" since that would not be appropriate in my raised flowerbeds?

Well, so far a havahart raccoon trap has worked well for me. This is the first year I have had any significant rabbit damage and I only had to catch 2 to end the damage (thus far). Your mileage may vary.

Of course, once trapped you have to either kill them or relocate them 5 miles or so away to prevent them from returning.
