So we chipper shredded some blackberry canes last year, so far all we've seen come through them is bindweed and mushrooms. I was wondering if this is OK to use for mulch in my raised bed garden? What about the rest of the garden? I have a small hedge out front of hydrangeas, rhodies, a burning bush, and a lilac.

My main goal is to keep water in and weeds out :P
