I am new to the forum as well as gardening, so please excuse me if I breach any forum rules.
I found the following flower in my yard and I have been trying to figure out what it is. Let me know if somebody can identify it.

| Looks rather like a crepe myrtle, although I don't think I've ever seen one with those lavender blotches. Is it on a shrub? Another pic showing the plant (shape and leaves) would be a big help! |

| It's a catalpa. For further ID on any other plants you may have, you ought to try the Name This Plant forum. Lotsa brilliant folks over there. (This one was easy, which is why I was able to help. lol) |
