New to Gardening

need alittle help with growing my honey dew and watermelon

Im a first time gardener :) I actually started my garden in containers because I live in a Condo with very little space .... I have a honey dew plant which is doing great . It has male flowers but I havent seen any females and its been about a month with just male flowers ... Am I doing something wrong or is this a normal thing ? P. S. Everything Ive been trying to learn is from the internet so this is all very new 2 me.. Thanks
