Growing Pumpkins

Dufferin

We have had an unseasonably hot summer here in southern Ontario.

Having a lot of trouble with my three pumpkin plants. First, they are growing very slowly, and Second, almost all the females on the plants are turning yellow and faling off before they can open. I have only been able to pollinate a single female flower on each plant.

Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong? I use to be giving them 10-20-10 fertilizer every week, but stopped that earlier this month when growth began to slow and females started dropping off the plants.
