Hi everyone. I recently put this mulch down on my flower beds. It's Preen brand black mulch. I bought it a little over 2 months ago and it has been sitting in my yard in bags since that time. I finally got around to laying it on top of my flowers. Halfway into putting it down I realized it had tiny white dots/dust all over it. I'm thinking it might be mold or fungus since it was out in the heat, humidity and rain in bags for a couple months. I'm also wondering if it could be eggs of some sort possibly termite eggs. Does anyone know what this is? Is it dangerous to breath in or be around? My wife is pregnant and she helped lay some of the mulch with gloves and a mask but now I'm concerned.
