OK, I have a question about another beauty in my yard. I was told the name was Athea. It is a slender tree/shrub type thing, reaching approximately 7-8 feet and producing beautiful large purple blossoms that resemble hibiscus somewhat. I was wondering if anyone in here has one and can tell me how they thrive best. They are one of my favorites, but I am not sure they are planted in the right environment right now. I also have a couple of gardenias along the side of my shed, which get almost no sun, either. They have barely blossomed. Is this because of a lack of sunlight?? Thanks for any responses.
