Herbicide Mixing Question

It's been a long time since I tried to do any math, hopefully someone will be kind enough to help me out (I'm sure someone's grandkids will know the answer!) I have roundup concentrate, 18%. I believe the solution for killing grass should be 2%. How many ounces of roundup do I need to mix? No instructions still on the bottle unfortunately.

Is that the RoundUp Weed and Grass killer with Diquat as well as glyphosate? If so, of if not, let us know. You can find labels of every pesticide on line.

Yes it has got diquat in it. what the heck is that anyway and why on earth do I need it?

RE: Herbicide Mixing Question

Diquat is a non-selective herbicide that acts quickly to damage only that parts of the plant to which it is applied.[3] It breaks down quickly upon exposure to soil, leaving little residue.

Oh, 18:2 is close enough to 20:2 that you can just do 10:1.

RE: Herbicide Mixing Question

midwesterner, there are a couple of different formulations of Weed and Grass Killer. The mixing directions would be different for each of them. I'll attach an information sheet for you so that you can find the exact product that you have.

If you are still unsure, you can always call the Scott's company directly.
