Last Fall my neighbor had 3-5 inches of silt wash into his perenneal flower garden. The flowers bloomed this Summer and look healthy. A local florist told them that the plants need to be removed the dirt excavated and new plants installed at a cost of nearly $8000. My solution was to have someone with shovels and wheel barrows remove the dirt and replace the mulch. The area is approx 200 sq ft. Has to cost much less. Does anyone think these plants are doomed? Thanks
