stopping vine coming over fense

My neighbor has some sort of vine that is coming over and through my redwood fence I keep cutting it back and over time it comes back. I have black bamboo on my side and it tries to get into my plants. Is there something I can put on the vine after I cut it back to stop it from growing back?

Just keep cutting what's on your side. Don't do anything to kill the vine -- it's a *very* poor choice when the vine belongs to someone else.

Have you asked your neighbor to trim their vine since it is coming over the fence?
