hello, I'm new to these forums and new to agriculture having never planted anything before in my entire life.

I planted a jacaranda tree in the back yard, it's about 1.5m tall and the plastic pot it came in was about 20cm across and 25 down.

I let the dog out that night and he dug it up, I found the tree a couple of hours later about half of the root ball (is that what it is called?) was missing almost up to the tree itself.

I planted it again but do you think i should just go out and buy a new one or can this one still survive?
