I also have an agapanthus that has never bloomed. It's 3 yrs old, has leaves about a foot long. I potted 3 or 4 bulbs in a 12" pot. I overwinter them in my classroom, so they never get cold. Is that the problem? Do they need a period of cold?

RE: agapanthus

You haven't said how much sun they're getting over the growing time: they don't flower as well in part shade or low light as they do with full sun.

(The ones that flower very well are those planted on the traffic islands where they get full sunlight and the soil isn't too rich, but where they can collect the rain.)
