Hi, I'm in northern Passaic county NJ and am looking for some local people who are interested in starting a garden club. There are no clubs in my town or the surrounding towns. I am talking about the Riverdale, Butler, Bloomingdale nj area. Any interest?

I am in Pequannock. What did you have in mind?

I am not really sure. We have a club starting here in Bloomingdale but it is more concentrated on town garden areas. I just thought something casual at first, a group of people interested in getting together to share information and perhaps visit some local gardens. I have never been part of a garden club so I really don't know how the others work. Any ideas?

I see that this is an old message, but Gail, your area does have a garden club, in case you didn't know: "Gardeners of Watchung Hills Meeting, featuring "Jersey Devil Organics," a presentation by Merlin Coslick on the value of worms in gardens, 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Westminster Presbyterian Church, 725 Mountain Ave. http://gardenerswh.home.comcast.net or (732) 968-9562."
Here is a link that might be useful: Watchung Hills/Berkeley Heights Garden club
