Bulbs Sprouting Up Early

Posted by bobby1973 (My Page) on

What's the story with my tulip and daffodil bulbs crowing early? They've popped up about 2" out of the ground already and it's only the beginning of February. I know the temperatures have been fairly mild this winter. I'm just wondering what this spells for the bloom period of these bulbs as there's still plenty of time for blistering cold weather and snow. Thanks all!

Early spring bulb foliage & flowers will tolerate severe freezes.

My Lilies and Allium bulbs have sprouted. They definitely did not wait for the Forsythia's to bloom.
