Camellias flowering

Camellias will be at peak of bloom during the next 2 weeks.There are over a hundred in the ground, although not all are in bloom. Anyone who wants to walk through the garden Sunday March 18th and 25th, email me for the address. This is in addition to the Garden Visit/Potluck on April 15th (email me for address). More about the potluck in an upcoming post.

VERY nice! Sounds like you live in the tropical part of NJ. I see camelias in Home Depot and I'm wondering how they will fare here in Sussex County. Seeing how beautiful yours are, it might be worth taking a chance.

Plant only the hardiest varieties. Plant spring flowering japonicas on the North side and fall flowering sasanquas on the SE side of the house. Plant shallow and use mulch to bring soil level even with top of rootball.

Lovely, Steve! Sounds like you've been very busy since I last seen the garden a couple of years ago. You had a few camellias but I don't remember 100 of them!
