Good Nurseries in Ocean County?

Posted by melosgirl 7 (My Page) on

I'm in Manchester. I usually go all the way to Gasko's Family Farm in Englishtown, which is quite a distance from me. I found excellent quality and a good value for your money, but it's such a long distance (and with my Honda Pilot I may have to make a few trips). Can anyone recommend a similar nursery in the Ocean County area? Thanks to all.

My favorite nursery is Rarefind, in Jackson.

There are a few in Southern Ocean County - Living Landscapes on Route 9, just south of Barnegat, Reynolds in Manahawkin on Bay Avenue and there is one on Rt 72 just west of SOCH (can't think of the name - Green something). They all have good fresh plants but they aren't cheap.

I & G farms on whitesville road (#527) in Jackson (huge selection, good prices), and Grawtown nursery on grawtown road again in Jackson(look for coupons in tri-town news)

There are also a couple on Route #9 in lakewood. I don't know their names.

On Cross Street in lakewood before it comes out onto Route #9, shaped like a barn, but don't know that name either.

In Lakehurst on Route #70 between the 2 circles near burger king (limited selection)

(Yes, this is my part of town)
