| [cross-posted to Metro NY]
I will be making a rare automotive pilgrimage from NYC to Philly this weekend. Usually take the train or bus. I'm in the market for some large planters/containers -- not huge, but bigger than the size sold at average apartment-oriented "garden" centers in the city. Any great stores with large selections of supplies, relatively close to the Turnpike, anywhere between NYC and Philly? I'd rather avoid Loewe's/HD, but if you especially love the one near you, I guess I could make an exception ;-) Thanks! |

| My favorite place for pots/containers is World Pottery in Montclair (check their web site)-they have beautiful pots from all over the world, many of which can stay outside all winter, at incredibly reasonable prices. |

| Stonequeen, Thanks for the post! I saw that place and was intrigued. On the map, it looks a little far from the Interstate. Is it? I don't know that part of NJ, and it can be tough to tell from the map. Best, Fred |

| It looks like it's about 10 miles from the Meadowlands. |
|
| It's very near exit 148 (Bloomfield Ave) on the Garden State Parkway. |

| I was there on Saturday and the owner is selling the leftovers from last year at half price. The pickings for outdoor pots is pretty slim right now (although the indoor pots are beautiful!) - He will start getting all his new shipments next month. |
