I got a little overzealous since we've had some warm days here in NW NJ. I purchased dahlias, petunias, vinca vine & coleus to pot in patio pots. Potted yesterday; last night temp was 34. I was able to bring 1 pot indoors, but the other was too heavy so I made a makeshift tent using my garden chairs and a wool blanket overtop the pot. This morning, the coleus looked completely wilted (dead?), and the dahlia blooms were somewhat wilted. Will they recover, and how can I protect them for the cold nights? I'm thinking of just putting them back in their nursery pots & bringing them inside each night...any better suggestions?
