Bear-proof plants?

| Hi! I'm landscaping my yard from scratch and I'm looking for plants that will discourage (or at least not encourage) bears. We have a big bear problem where I live - last year one came through our backyard right next to the house midday on a daily basis - and I have a toddler!
So I'm looking to plant things that won't encourage the bears to come around. Any ideas? Do bears eat viburnum berries?
Thanks!

| Sarah, you might do some research on what bears eat in order to decide what you might plant or not plant. You need to stay away from blueberries and raspberries; they also eat acorns. I've never had them eat any of my viburnum berries, however. |
