The houseplants have been evicted!

WOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!! Not a live plant to be found in my house

As much as I love plants I'm not a fan of plants inside my house. Truth be told, I suck at caring for indoor plants and I lose many each winter to neglect.

About two weeks ago I moved the semi-dormant ones outside without any ill effects. Today was the day for the ones that have been living in comfort taking up my living space. It's always a gamble tossing them out so early but it's one I'm willing to take. Once out, they don't come back in until fall.

Who else has liberated their house plants? Feels good, right?

I've taken out most of the garage plants, except the Colocasias. Some of the overwintering seasonal plants are in coldframes now.

I feel your joy! This coming week, I am planning to start hardening the seedlings on the front porch and let the begonias out during the day but back in for the night. The dahlias are going in the ground.
