Guess it was a good winter or my protection

Here is how I protect them for the winter.

Rope lights, burlap a camouflage tarp

and a clear trash bag for the top. There

on a timer that goes on at night and off

when the morning sun hits the palms.

I turn the timer on only when we get to 7 degrees or lower.

I cover them by the 3rd week of DEC and uncovered them by St. Patrick

Day.

I bought a small Washie Robusta that I plug into a thermo-cube.

Wraped and protect the same as the Trachys but the thermo cube turns on at

35 and off at 45 degrees. Bought this at Charlies Green house.com

It made it thru fine and a Queen palm also.

I don't have any pics of the Washie or Queen and the Queen was given

to me at the end of August.It did burn but the spear is fine.

I'll wrap that better next time.

The base of the palm is still green so I'm sure its fine.

I don't always post but enjoy this board.

This palm made 8 Inflorescence this year
