| Drove up to Montvale to see them this afternoon and they're gone. Just boring lawn where all those glorious irises used to be. What happened?

| you must have missed the newspaper piece. gray's shut down as the owners sold and moved out of state. they had their last open house last year, i believe, when they were selling off massive numbers of rhizomes. others were being donated to another iris garden in (i think) maryland. |

| Rats, that's what I get for reading the Times instead of the Record. And there was an Iris there I'd love to have had, too. Lion's Share. I thought it was really pretty but nobody sells it. (Anybody get some? Can I have a piece? I can trade...) It's too bad, it was a really enjoyable garden. WW |
