What happened to Gray's Iris Gardens?

Drove up to Montvale to see them this afternoon and they're gone. Just boring lawn where all those glorious irises used to be. What happened?

you must have missed the newspaper piece. gray's shut down as the owners sold and moved out of state. they had their last open house last year, i believe, when they were selling off massive numbers of rhizomes. others were being donated to another iris garden in (i think) maryland.

Rats, that's what I get for reading the Times instead of the Record. And there was an Iris there I'd love to have had, too. Lion's Share. I thought it was really pretty but nobody sells it. (Anybody get some? Can I have a piece? I can trade...)

It's too bad, it was a really enjoyable garden.

Weedwoman. . .

Have you ever been to Presby Memorial Iris Garden, in
Upper Montclair? Think you've just missed their season. . .

Here is a link that might be useful: Presby Memorial Iris Gardens
