Although there was not a large group, the weather was ideal and everyone brought interesting plants.

RE: Plant Swap and garden Pics

Thanks Steve! It was a great day and all my plants are potted up. As promised, here is the Ramem Noodle recipe:

1 lb shredded cabbage
1 bunch scallion
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1/3 cup sugar
1/3 cup white or cidar vinegar

2 packages Ramen Noodles - Oriental style
1 cup sliced almonds
1 cup sunflower seeds

Remove the seasoning packets from the ramen noodles and mix it with the first 5 ingredients at least 3 hours ahead or the day before.

Toast the seeds and nuts in batches at 400 degress for about 7 minutes on a baking sheet or suitable substitute. Watch as they burn quickly. Also it is better to do it in batches and spread them out evenly.

Break up the ramen noodles into small pieces. Mix them with the nuts and seeds. Just before serving mix the ramen noodles, nuts and seeds with the cabbage marinade and stir. That's it.

And Steve, don't put the left overs in the freezer! : )

I will try to post some pictures soon!

RE: Plant Swap and garden Pics

I want to add my thanks to Steve and Melody for taking the time out of the busy SUNDAY to show me around the garden. YES! I infact got the day wrong and showed up Sunday a.m. with my plants and food all ready to swap. It dawned on me as I was unloading that is was way too quiet for a plant swap.

Call me a dork- as things like this happen often to me;)
