Four years after I planted a Trillim and three years after I thought it had gone forever, I found it in bloom yesterday. What a joy!

Don't you love when that happens!

And don't you hate it when two days after you've bought a plant to replace one that you thought wasn't coming back, the first one pops up? :-)

That's happened to me twice this year already!

Well, that's how it works with everything else! I'm sure you won't mind another Trillium.

Thanks for your post as it gives this writer some pause to keeping that part of the garden "be"; and hopefully remember not to overplant and/or transplant something into that spot.

I purchased a half dz last spring from NJAS (already dormant) and the planting area hasn't seen nary anything green popping up thru the leaf litter this spring.

Coincidentaly, I'm planting a flat of tiarella 'plugs' this weekend, so that patience or make that dilligence should be in play with where the trilliums were planted.

Happy Spring everyone :)
