Just bought a DJ climbing rose for a west facing arbor that is approx 8' tall. Anyone have any experience with this climber in zone 6b? Thx for your help!

Beautiful frafrance for a climber, this is the only rose that has managed to survive for me, others seemed to die due to disease or being eaten by deer. Mine are against the house and face due south so the exposure is HOT! No real problems with it here.

I'm in zone 6b in Oklahoma. The only hybrid tea that has thrived for me over the last ten years is my Don Juan climber. He is stunning in April and May, goes dormant during our punishing summers, and has a smaller flush come September. I no longer grow hybrid teas in my climate except for him--he's wonderful--I've moved on to noisettes and others, which can stick out our brutal summers a bit better. Good luck.
