Drooping branches of Hibiscus

Hi,
We have a hibiscus which bloomed wonderfully all thru last summer. We brought it inside the house in fall and thru winter too we enjoyed quite a bit of flowers. In spring it started growing and then suddenly stopped. Thinking that the pot had become too small for the plant, we repotted it and have moved it outside but the branches keep drooping. And as yet there are no new buds. Should I trim the plant ? And is it possible to use those cuttings to start new plants ?

Any help will be appreciated, Thanks.

Is this a tropical hibiscus or one hardy to our area?

Drooping might indicate a need for more water in either actually

Hi Amy_nj6,

Thanks for asking. It is a tropical hibiscus. And thankfully it is doing Ok now. I pruned the tree and tried propagation with 10 cut branches, and to my sheer delight 6 of them have rooted. This is my first time propagating anything and I am just giddy with happiness. Since then I have pruned 2 of my roses and propagated 6 branches from each. 1 of the rose variety has rooted. I am still waiting for the second one to take root.
