Well, it isn't recommended to pull spring bulbs until the leaves have died down. The leaves are supplying the nutrients to the bulb so it will flower next year.

Ok, that being said, I did what you did myself last year and had good results. In fact, I just left them in a container in the yard and forgot about them. I planted them in the fall, with bonemeal and as far as I know, all came up and flowered. This year I am not doing that. I just pulled a bunch too and will plant them asap, before the weather gets hot. (new house, loads of bulbs, but not where I would prefer them.)

Keep them cool and dry, away from critters that will eat them. If you know where you want them next year, plant them now - to the same soil line on the leaves and keep watered. Let the leaves die naturally.
