Looking for Japanese Cherry Blossom Tree

Posted by criticalmass (My Page) on

We're in the southern half of NJ all the time, and of all the garden centers we checked, we can't find any Japanese Cherry Blossom trees. In particular, my wife wants to get the Yoshino variety.

I found them listed on two mail-order sites (Ty-Ty & Fast-Growing-Trees), but both have terrible reviews about quality, insects, size, etc, so I'd much rather to somewhere and buy it in person.

Can anyone suggest a place somewhere between Philly & Atlantic City, or south of there where I have a good chance of finding one? Thanks!

I bought a Yoshino in Home Depot a few years ago. Have you checked there? If you get one that is newly delivered (not sitting around their yard for a long time) the quality is more than acceptable.

Just checked. They are Online Order only, but are out of stock :( Thanks, though.
