Acorn Squash and Melons

Hi
I noticed today that my acorn squash seeds had germinated. No sign of my Alaska muskmelon yet. Was I just too early? Does anybody else out there have anything from this type of plant? I planted them both the same day May 16. Did the unusually cold weather have anything to do it?

RE: Acorn Squash and Melons

Acorn squash usually germinates in 4-6 days. Melons take a little longer 7-10 days if you were to plant them today June first. Try seeding your melons again they may be old seed...BTW the best melons for NJ are Superstar, Athena and Eclipse... Bob.
