I've read on the internet that you can start a Rugosas from seed, is it easy or hard? how does one do it?
Also, does anyone have any Rugosas Blanc Double de Coubert seeds to sell?

RE: starting Rugosas from seed?

I have 4 rugosa rubra seedlings. I wintersowed them outdoors but they did not germinate until the second spring. They are about three years old and still have not budded. I am hoping I will see something this year.
My BDdC was a very cheap bag rose and has done very well. It is often the first rose to bloom in my garden as it is this year. Some years it blooms all season and others it blooms lightly. So far mine has never set hips. I read some of them do. I also read that many do not like this rose because the spent blossom looks like used tissues. They prefer alba.
