I hear you. My tomatoes and peppers are just sitting there and pumpkins I put in two weeks ago as seedlings have done absolutely nothing. It's downright frigid here.

You are so right! My snow peas are doing great as is the broccoli, but the tomatoes and peppers seem sulky. It took forever for my little grapevine to start leafing out. By this time last year it was really warm. This morning when I went out I had to have my wool cap on.

I have a flat of Impatiens in a sheltered location and I think they froze to death. In MAY!! Go figure. Now that we got the long-awaited rainfall, it's too soggy to start digging.

I have a tropical hibiscus outside, but thankfully it is in a pot so I brought it in the house last night. My tomato plants though, are in the ground. And my gladioli are just starting to come out of the soil. Do I need to do anything to protect them from freezing to death in the cold weather?

Too cold and wet. But this morning is bright and sunshiny and I went out in it despite the chill. Hope it hits 80!

I just came back from a trip to Arkansas and it was soooo hot and sunny there - in the 90's. I was too hot there. It's almost refreshing to come back to this. Also, my plants in pots didn't suffer from not being watered - a big plus. Now that I'm back though - bring on the sunshine!
