help with an agastache that got clobbered by rain

got some hummingbird mint /tutti fruitti agastache. Of course a day after I planted the already 18 inch high plants it rained. And rained. They like hot and dry. So it's had some decent time to dry out. But they look wilted. The ground around and at least 2-3 inches deep is bone dry. Should i let it be or water it a tiny bit? I never know what to do in these situations!

I did that and it pounded rain of course much more. Should I worry about the agastache rotting though? From all I've heard, been told and read they like it dry. Does that mean dry ground once it recovers or always keep the ground a little moist??

My agastache gets totally soaked every 5 days from the lawn sprinkling system. Dry probably means good drainage.
