Onion Sets - Source

Posted by yelena z5-6 NJ (My Page) on

I checked all stores around me - nobody sells onion bulbs (sets) any more! I grow them for scallions for salads.
Did anybody saw them anywhere? Catalogs are very expensive and stores usually sell them in packages of 80 for 1-1.50 dollars.
Thank you for your help.

It may be a little late and they may be out of stock or down to the bottom of the basket, but Agway stores usually have 3 or 4 varieties, and IIRC, were about 79 cents a pound this spring.

Actually, my local Agway (Hightstown/East Windsor) is now part of a different chain, Global AG, along with a few others in NJ, so you may want to check their stores, too.
