Get your Japanese honeysuckle at Lowe's!

Big healthy plants with a delicious scent.

They plan on offering some other hardy and useful groundcovers soon, Japanese stiltgrass, ground ivy and garlic mustard.

You laugh, but I've seen ground ivy for sale. And not just at places like Lowes. Reputable local nurseries.

Oh, and they also sell virginia creeper!

Actually, last night while working in the garden, I recalled that when I moved to CA in the late 90's I was astonished to see ground ivy for sale at $14.95 a flat!

At Monticello, they claim that Jefferson planted poison ivy as an "ornamental" and that it was commonly sold by dealers as such.
