Something that went bad....turned good!

We spread topsoil and threw down grass seed after having some work done with our well pipes into the house. In the land of "only the strong survive" (our yard), we left the grass seed to germinate with the help only of Mother Nature and of course there was no rain. Sooo, this area which surrounds a bird house on a pole with a pink clematis, began to sprout a very rugged looking type of crabgrass and the grass seed became bird fodder. Anyhow - I decided o.k. - let's try this again and this time do it properly. So, like a loser with a capital "L", I began pulling out the crabgrass sprouts. Much to my delight - I found bunches of clematis seedlings -wheeeeeee! The seedlings have been relocated, the grass seed is down, fertilized and watered and I'm visualizing cascades of pink clematis! Look for a follow-up message in the exchange forum!
