It's probably the variety. I have gypsy peppers ripening to red because they are very early. However my hot peppers are behaving just like yours--a few flowers, and a very few tiny fruits.

If you remember, we had a very cool June and part of May. This can affect fruit set in peppers.

Peppers take a long hot season to mature. Personally unless you're growing a coveted variety its' more sensible/easier to buy them than grow. :)

Check for weevils. I had some on my Bell Peppers last year. The foliage was lush, it flowered, but fruit never set. After I did daily checks and removals of weevils, I managed to get a few peppers.

Mine did not want to grow a long time.I think it was the cold Spring.Regards

I am growing Jalapenos, cowhorns,sweet yellow bananas, and bonnie bells and they are all going great. Picked a bunch this morning and they are tasty. Maybe its this country air that is making them grow? Who knows...
