Plant two Coreopsis Limberock Ruby few weeks ago One turns yellow

I have planted two Coreopsis Limerock Ruby few weeks ago. One turns out fine and the other turns yellow and all the flowers are dying. I don'w know why it turns yellow. May be due to the hot and no rain weather lately. I have watered the plant everyday to keep the soil moist due to the hot weather. I have been researching on the plant. They all say that it is very easy to take care of except they can not overwinter when planted in zone 6 and above. Can anyone tell me how to save the plant?

Same thing happened to me. 3 other varieties planted at same time, next to each other, are thriving. I took it out of the soil and the roots were rotted. Now it is on top of the compost heap.

I planted them last year, in part shade, they did fine but they do not come back, treat them as an annual. Planted again this year, in full sun, its not as happy, fell over and looked dead, it did come back however but is still fallen over. karen
