Arundo donax in Sussex County

Hello,
I am looking to plant a TALL living fence/screen to block a neighboring apartment house. I have about 75 feet of sloping sunny land to plant in a straight line, bordering the property line. I do not have a problem with winter die back and like the idea of using grass(es)- I would like the privacy in my yard during the summer. No to Bamboo. Just too much "walking". I am also trying to keep away from evergreens, for expense and the eventual too tall problem.
Arundo donax was suggested to me. This grass can be invasive in it's natural habitat, but supposedly is hardy in our area. Anyone have any experience with it? I have read up on it in the ornamental grass forum, but wanted to see if anyone in my area has grown or is growing it. Next question would be where to purchase it....
thanks!
