Thanks for the link ML. The Mrs. loves Spinach so I think I'll give it a go this Fall. Never grown it before. Thanks again for the impetus.

FYI the fall spinach seeding has just begun. There usually is a fall harvest around November, then the crop is over wintered for a second harvest in early spring then the spinach is plowed under and seeded to peas then sweetcorn then back to spinach. Its always nice to see the green spinach fields in the gray of January. The Seabrook family has a frozen food plant in town and they buy and harvest most of the spinach. Its custom grown for them by local farmers on contract. Farmers do the growing and Seabrook does the harvesting. Harvesting is done by what looks like giant vaccumn cleaners that are about the size of a two car garage.
The Seabrooks are a nice bunch of folks their grandfather along with Clarence Birdseye co-developed the frozen food industry...Bob.
