 o
peas be with you

For the past two years I have planted peas in the spring. They grow nice and tall and full and then, just when I think the pods are really going to start coming in, they all die. This occurs in mid july or so. I know peas do better when its cold, but this seems premature. Do I have a pea problem? Is this the natural time for them to die back? -T

RE: peas be with you

Hi - I've been told to plant peas by St. Patrick's day, or not at all. Now I'm in zone 6b, but my peas are usually done by May or early June depending on when the heat arrives.
