I've seen these landscaping trees in condo communities and elsewhere, but I've got no pictures to share. I noticed them flowering in August. They have yellow flowerets that grow in a circular pattern. When the flowers fall off, the seeds are encased in yellowish green pods. Leaves are elliptical shaped, somewhat longish.

Hello, I also am looking to identify a flowering tree in Southern NJ. It flowers pink/red in the spring and then grows an elongated segmented fruit with red berries or seeds in it which sometimes gets up to 6 inches in length and is green to brownish in color. The squirrels love them.

I cannot find out what type of tree this is anywhere online.
