It's September - where are the bargains?

| Are there any other garden-center hounds out there wondering why the perennials aren't on sale yet? I've found two places out of maybe 9 or 10 and the choices there are very limited. Any thoughts? Thanks! MsB
p.s. I'm not interested in 50% off items that were marked up an extra 75% to begin with. *huff*

| Business wasn't great this summer and they are trying to hold off as long as possible before putting perennials on sale? |

| Could be. New construction has tapered off in the last year or so - could be showing up in the plant business, though the spring crowds seemed as big as ever. |
