A visit to An unusual garden in Parsippany-Pics

I visited John H. in Parsippany(Morris County), who has large palms and Camellias in his yard. These include Trachycarpus fortunei, Butia capitata, Sabal palmetto, Washingtonia filifera, Sabal minor, S. louisiana, and Rhapidophyllum hystrix. All but the last three receive winter protection and artificial heat.

Base of S. palmetto.

I am starting to see a few palms as I drive around up here. Must be catching on. The camellia is gorgeous.
