T. Fortunei cv " tesan
Cold Hardiness:-4F/-20 C
Available Size:0.5-4m trunk height
Unlike T. Fortunei (5F/-15C), this is a new rare variegated species found in late last century, in China and right now planted even in the cold area like Beijing. After 2 decades of successful cultivation and growth, it proves to be the cold hardiest palm that is growing north Yellow River in China. (-4F/-20C), but it is more elegant and beautiful than T. Fortunei. Its massive tropical palm commands attention and inspires awe. This palm has stout trunk with startling green foliage that amplifies the visual impact of this big beauty. It grows a single trunk with rich fiber hair. What is special is that the leaf has white powder-like wax and seeds are covered with white wax as well.
