I have sprouts

I had daylily seeds and purple smoke bush seeds in the fridge for 3 months and potted them up on January 20th. I have 2 smoke bush seeds and one of the 5 pots of daylily seeds sprouting. This helps with the winter Blaaahs.
Just hope I can keep them alive til I can get them outside, which won't be til late May. Anyone else have anything on the go yet? |

| I have sprouts too. I have several purple coneflower babies raising their heads. I also have mini rose cutting that won't slow down. LOL Plant out date here is June 6th. |

| I have baby hostas. I started them a few months ago. I just put them into individual pots last week. They still only have 1 little leaf. I have coneflowers and daylily seeds to get started. I am going to try winter sowing with some. I never dare to plant here until mid June. We often have late frost after Memorial Day. |

Wally, You will love wintersowing. I have been doing all my seed that way for the past two years and as far as I am concerned that is the best way to go up north...no damp-off, you don't have to harden the seedlings off before plant out and the plants are much hardier than seeds that germinate inside under lights.
