RE: Any Prince George Gardeners out there?

Greetings Meinpg!!
Ok, so I'm not from Prince George - from 150 Mile House! I'm thinking our summers/winters are about the same duration. Where we are situated we are about 2 weeks behind downtown Williams Lakes' springtime, but I try not to think about that too much. In the heat of last summer when it was 35+ in town, it was 30 at home, so I guess it all balances out. And we have protection from the worst of the wind, as we are surrounded by trees. The ground thaws later and freeze earlier; my fantasy is to live in zone 6 when I retire.......

Hello Meinpg!
I will be a PG gardener next month! I am moving from Vancouver Island (zone 7b) and I am looking forward to the challenges of northern gardening. I am from the Yukon orginally, but have lived on the Island for 25+ years, so it will be like starting from scratch I think! :)
I am new to this as well...by the way my name is Shelley.

Shelley Ms daizy

that is going to be a big change for you

I miss B.C. so much

Have lived in Ontario the past well 40 years, I guess it is now

Had wanted to move back to B.C. when I retired and the kids grown. Well that has all happened and I am still here.
I miss it so much.
Will watch for your postings
