Hi! I am in dire need of some help! :) I am new to this chilly zone 3a climate, and am looking for a fast growing, hedge forming shrub - and heres the catch... the area they are to be planted in is in complete shade. Ideally I would like to have evergreens (that are very thick) ~ although at this point I am prepared to try anything! I am trying to keep people (and their dogs) off my lawn, as they seem to think that it's a public park meant for use as a "puppy potty". :P Brambles and thorns are perfectly fine, too, as my children play in a completely different part of the yard.
