I am interested in planting some additional green flowers this year. I have limelight and annabelle hydrangeas, and I planted some deirdre viridiflora tulips last fall. I tried to grow Bells of Ireland, but nothing came up. Any suggestions of other green flowers (both annual and perennial)that would grow in Manitoba would be appreciated.

I love my Echinacea "Coconut Lime"; big lime centers that look amazing even after the flower has finished blooming. The new Echinacea "Green Envy" looks quite nice too but I'm not sure how green it looks in person.

Thanks. I have heard of them, as well as the echinacea green jewel but can't seem to find any place to get some in Canada. Where did you get yours?

Botanus and Veseys both sell the "Coconut Lime" and "Green Envy" echinacea. I bought my "Coconut Lime" from Veseys; the "Pink Double Delight" that I bought at the same time died but the "Coconut Lime" put on a great show in the first year. Veseys is replacing the dead flower this spring - Botanus usually has pretty good stock (in my experience) and would be a more reliable place to purchase from.
